The RUPES D-A Coarse blue foam pad is the cutting step of the RUPES D-A system. Its all-new open-cell foam removes mild to severe defects from most paint systems, and when paired with RUPES D-A Coarse compound it delivers strong cut with a surprisingly clean finish. Contour-edge design, 150mm (6in) face on a 130mm (5in) backing for 5in backing plates. Sold as a single pad.

How To Use:

• Center the pad on a 5in (125mm) backing plate and press firmly so the hook-and-loop locks in.
• Prime the pad with 4–5 pea-size drops of compound and spread at low speed.
• Work a 2x2 ft section in slow, overlapping passes with light to moderate pressure.
• Wipe off residue with a clean microfiber towel and inspect; clean the pad often with a pad brush or compressed air.
